"It is my intention for these artworks to give new purpose, new meaning, and new form to the debris of our civilization.
The central material to my work is found, "orphaned" glass. I intuitively manipulate and assemble these "orphans" until they become new forms or "families".

"My interest in the relationship between interior and exterior space, architecture, and the natural environment have driven my work for the past many years. I am curious about a realm with a new idea of where an interior begins and ends and where walls aren’t fixed. This idea of breaking apart walls and windows and indoors from outdoors changed in meaning for me this past year. The pandemic shifted the axis, and now, in July of 2021, indoors and outdoors and public and private space all mean something new. And not just to me, but to everyone, a shared experience yet influenced by one’s own situation – where they live and work, if they work, if they have a home, if they have kids. For me, the past year and a half has been hyper-focused on going back and forth between home and studio (and studio in home), shared time with my partner and occasionally with my mom, and trips into nature. The work here comes out of this intense transitional time and place."

Imagine a place where fantastical stories are real and the world comes to you on a silver platter. This and more awaits you at the latest The Don B. Huntley Gallery exhibit: Fauxtopia, "the most believable place on earth."

Guest curator Ray Kampf reveals the commercialism behind the amusement park, making the viewer rethink the concept of rides by juxtaposing historical events with amusement park themes.

The gallery is located in the Cal Poly Pomona University Library on the 4th floor and is open to the public through September 11, Monday-Thursday Noon-4pm.

Plan your visit: https://bit.ly/3NYIBUq
The celebration continues for the 25th anniversary of The Lyle Center for Regenerative Studies.

Today, 6-8 p.m.
CPP regenerative studies professor, land management expert and author Douglas Kent will give a lecture and sign books. His latest book is a field guide for beginner- and intermediate-level foragers, introducing them to wild edibles.

Oct. 17, 5-7 p.m.
Opening reception for “John T. Lyle and the Future of Regenerative Design,” an exhibition at The Don B. Huntley Gallery. Curated by his daughter, artist Cybele Lyle, it explores Lyle’s spheres of personal and professional work, and his understanding of the role of landscape architecture as a part of larger regenerative-based living.

The first carbon-neutral facility in the California State University system is celebrating its 25th anniversary!

I am looking for an L. Huntly oil painting named Natures Glories Unsurpassed, or a print of this.
This week, you can: get inspired by the 4th Street Bridge at The Don B. Huntley Gallery at Cal Poly Pomona; admire architect John Pawson’s stunning travel photos at Hennessey + Ingalls Bookstore; experience Art Los Angeles Contemporary 2018 in an airplane hangar; immerse yourself in 1930s architecture, film and fashion at the Egyptian Theatre; and see what’s at the cutting edge of ceramic arts at the Craft and Folk Art Museum.
Hi, my name is Jason and I am a Recycle Artist from the San Francisco Bay Area. I am also in to Sci Fi TV Shows and Movies and was inspired to create this Original One Of a Kind, Hand Crafted and Painted, 6 Ft. + Life Size Styrofoam Robot Statue Sculpture Model. This masterpiece sculpture was constructed entirely out of 100% Styrofoam pieces, the same material that is often discarded and used to pack and ship TV's, Electronics, Furniture, and other miscellaneous items. This sculpture makes an excellent art display for the extremely serious die hard Sci Fi fan or art collector.
what are the gallery's hours? your "about" section only lists summer hours. thx
What a great write up in Western Art Collector Magazine! Looks like an amazing collection. Please let me know if you ever need an insurance quote.
