Patrice and Suzanne Barakat achieved their lifelong dream in 2008 as they opened Cutting Edge Dance Center.

They take pride in providing a "home" for dancers to have an excellent training facility in dance, all in a family felt atmosphere. Competitive Classes in Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, Ballet, Lyrical, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Pointe and Tumbling... Recreational classes in all subjects as well.

Our final Senior Shoutout goes to Brianna Holloway! Brianna will be attending Mt. San Antonio College where she will be a member of their dance team. She will be majoring in Sociology. Brianna is considering a career in speech pathology, nursing or criminal anthropology. Brianna’s favorite dances were “Feel Again” and “Post to Be.” Her favorite memories will be, Tices kiss before they go on stage, meeting her little buddy, Sophia and team bonding circles. “I’m so grateful to have been blessed with the most supportive family while being with CEDC and I will cherish my whole experience forever.” We can’t wait to see all the things you do, Holloway! We love you! 💙💚

Senior Shoutout! We are so proud of our .quinteroo .
She will be attending University of California Riverside where she’ll be majoring in Biology. She is hoping to pursue a medical career specializing in either dermatology or plastic surgery. Maddy’s favorite dance in her time at CEDC is between “Gone” or “Shelter”. Her favorite memory is “when we saw our score back stage after performing “Shelter” at Ultra dance competition.” What she will miss the most is the energy of being at the studio with the team 🫶

Senior Saturday!! Today we honor our 💙💚
She will be attending UCLA as a dance major with a double major in integrated physiology. Miranda plans to continue working in the dance industry and prospectively become a sports physical therapist. Her favorite memory at cutting edge would have to be the riverside security call😉, as well as performing Snowing at Showstoppers this year. Her favorite dance she’s performed at cutting edge these past 9 years would have to be “Used to be Mine” choreographed by . “I’m going to miss all the pep talks, circles after comp, late nights at the studio, and downtime getting to bond and spend time with my friends!”

Senior Saturday!! Today we honor our ! She will be attending TCU on an academic scholarship and she will be majoring in nursing. Her favorite dances are Snowing & One Day I’ll Fly Away. Her favorite memory of the season is when they performed Snowing at Showstopper & seeing how excited & proud Patrice was afterwards. What she will miss the most? “Pep talks backstage, solo practices with Tice & bonding with my teammates.” We will miss you like crazy, Hay & We love you so much! 💙💚🤟🏼

She received the Academic Excellence Dean's Scholarship, got recruited to Barrett, The Honors College at ASU. She would like to be MLB/NFL Sports Reporter! Her Favorite dance is Snowing. Her Favorite memory: Performing Snowing at Showstoppers. “I'm going to miss the special one love bond within the entire CE fam, and Tice's iconic pep talks and kiss before we go on stage. SENIOR SUNDAY!! Today’s tribute is to our Sydney Thomas. Syd will be attending USC in the fall, where she received the Computer Science Dean Scholarship! She will be majoring in Computer Science as she wants to be a Software Engineer/Project Manager. What she will miss the most about Cutting Edge is dancing with a team. Her favorite memories through the years are going to eat with friends after dancing and the Riverside 2020 security situation . 🤣 Her favorite dances are A Shelter For You and her solo Alabaster Box.
