💫Last night: live performance piece on Third Street by contemporary artist, Sangchi Liu.
Title: Time & Relation in Time & Space
This work refers to Marina Abramović and ULAY’s Relation in Space (1977) and Relation in Time (1977), and Tehching Hsieh and Linda Montano’s Rope Piece (1984). These three pieces questioned the relationship between humans and space, between two traditional human genders (female & male), the relationship between human bodies and time, and the energy flow between artists and their audiences. The work aims to re-examine the same set of questions above in the contemporary context by adding smartphones, selfie sticks and a set of harnesses as materials in the performance.

Artist Interview: Leslie Brown🌟
Leslie Brown is a printmaker, painter, and an art educator who teaches at Riverside City College. She is also the Gallery Director of The Quad Gallery.
During her tenure as director, The Quad Gallery has exhibited internationally renowned artists and has become one of the most respected college galleries in the Southern California.
She is participating in the women artists’ exhibition in the Progress Gallery this month.
