Fish Eye Kauai

Fish Eye Kauai We're a local art gallery featuring Kauai made art, photography, jewelry, carving and creations. A unique view of Kauai from above and below! Leo

Scuba Tom(Thomas Green) has been doing the art show circuit for 3 years on Kauai and it is time to expand. Fisheye will be Tom's first gallery. Most of the work in the gallery will be Scuba Tom photos on metal and canvas, as well as the usual print sizes he has always carried. The stationary nature of the gallery will allow larger pieces as well. Already arrived is a wall sized turtle picture that

is the center piece of the space. Tom will share the gallery with a few local artists as well. Seth Womble will put his paintings and sculpture work. Aubrie Rosalani will have hand made shell jewelry made and collected in Hawaii.

Well, the weather absolutely did not cooperate for the first Music Under the Monkeypods concert, but sure delivered. Heavy rain and winds fried their mixing board, so fans hearty enough to stick around in the rain were treated to an intimate acoustic set.

Big mahalo to town for helping us to fund this free, quarterly concert series. Also thanks to , and for keeping the people satiated. The next Music under the Monkeypods event will be in May- follow us for details.

PS: The Ramblers are playing .lodge on Feb 28th. Get your tix now, they sell out every time!

Here are a few of Tom's photos from our trip to Volcanoes National Park.

We had been watching the USGS predictions and thought we might be able to get the timing right for Episode 41. We absolutely scored, and got to witness this 1600 foot dual vent eruption from a great angle. The eruption lasted about 8 hours, and we got to enjoy the last half of it. We did also get pelted with rain, tephra, and volcanic glass, splinters of which we were removing from our skin for the next few days. Absolutely worth it though.

(I don't know how to stop insta from cropping the shots. Full versions are on the Scuba Tom Photography page)
