We had a great time this morning talking with Allie Sherman about reef check and kelp forests! Check out this link to a radio station a little north of us about the open houses that CA Department of Fish and Wildlife is hosting this month. These public forums will address the possibility of re-introducing sea otters in an effort to help the kelp forests bounce back from the destruction created by invasive purple urchins.
Hot tip: there’s one being held here at the Point Reyes National Seashore TOMORROW night from 5-7pm!

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is seeking input on the potential reintroduction of the threatened southern sea otter to the Oregon and Northern California coast.

We had such a great show today with Scot Anderson of the California White Shark Project! Their new nonprofit was formed to continue the longest running data monitoring program for White Sharks in the world, and they have a great website (where you can donate)

We are super stoked to talk with California's leading expert on American Badgers, Susan Kirks, this morning from 9-10am. Badgers are such fascinating and elusive animals, so this should be a great show!
