I just went went through the wish lists for the 50+ kids we're buying christmas presents for this year's event and it made me tear up. So much sweetness in this little pile of dreams. My favorite request was from a 3 year old's list, he wants trucks and toy tools because, " he's gonna be a construction worker one day". Every kid deserves to feel loved, deserves to feel like this world is a place where their dreams and hopes have a chance of being realized. I know that toys are silly. They are 100% not necessary. But the implication of christmas presents for these kids is that they are cared for. That they are loved. That if this gift they really hoped for can happen...then maybe anything they hope for can happen. I get it. It's just a toy, but I think to a kid who wouldn't get anything it means so much more than that, it's a representation of everything good in the world. Ok, damn, sorry to get so heavy🤦‍♂️ If you've got time and the spare money, come through on sunday, get tattooed, leave a present or drop off a donation. Every penny is gonna help give these little guys a special day❤❤❤❤
