Event Announcement: It's Not a Phase (Emo Night)

Dust off your rubber bracelets, your vans, and that one band tee you’d always wear. We’ll be blasting all your favorite emo, pop punk, and metalcore songs all night. Overflow Parking at Colossalcon East!

Colossalcon East now has more parking! Starting this year the Kalahari has two additional areas that vehicles will be directed toward once the main lots are full. When you pull onto the Kalahari property make sure to keep an eye out for a member of the Kalahari team to be directing traffic starting around 10am each day.

Guest Panelist Announcement: Goblins & Growlers!
Goblins and Growlers create and host inclusive community-building tabletop live adventures, award-winning TTRPG content, live performances, and fundraisers for local charities with their diverse team of performers, game masters, artists, and audio/visual engineers.

They’ve raised tens of thousands for charities, run thousands of community-building TTRPG games for local businesses, and guested at conventions such as DragonCon, Ichibancon, & Triad Anime Con. They have also won awards for writing and designing their own original tabletop adventures!

Goblins and Growlers co-produces “Quid Pro Roll,” the only improv actual-play podcast with a cast of all professional game masters, along with their partners at Alpha Comics & Games. This podcast is the flagship program of GnG Studios, which also includes The Goblins and Growlers Podcast, Goblin Book Club, Dungeons & Doodles, and more~

Guest Panliest Announcement: La Vie Cosplay!

La Vie Cosplay is a multi-talented duo focused on entertainment and education. Since 2013, Elle and Ash have been honing their crafting and performance abilities to bring entertainment to conventions around the country. LVC has appeared both nationally and internationally in numerous competitions, winning multiple best in shows and the title of US representative for ICL 2022. LVC provides a wide range of programming for conventions including hosting, performances, panels, variety shows, Bardnanigans: choose your own adventure, and their stand up comedy show Sh*t Cosplayers Say. They have been seen performing at shows such as C2E2, Colossalcon North, Anime Milwaukee, and more. The duo is best known as the hosts for Shenanigans Cosplayers Say, a comedy cosplay podcast covering their neurodivergent adventures in con-going and creating. The podcast covers subjects such as mental health, competitions, and convention chaos. LVC’s mission is to support the new generation, not take themselves too seriously, and put the “play” back in cosplay.

Guest Panelist Announcement: Scarlett Mafia!

Founded in 2005, Scarlett Mafia began as a 3-person masquerade group; since then, they've been branching out into many different types of performance. After winning many best in shows and ‘best of weekend’ awards, they took a hiatus and then returned in 2021 with a newfound purpose: to spread their body-positive messages the best way they know how by incorporating Drag, burlesque, and even sideshow.

Scarlett Mafia has worked with Pride festivals and many other conventions along the East Coast, and you have seen them at Colossalcon Prime and Colossalcon East in the past with fanfic reading or maybe even caught a performance pre-pandemic!

Aiming not only to tantalize and tease but also to make you laugh and cry, they bring their unique take on cosplay burlesque and nerdlesque to the convention scene.

Event Update: Itasha Cars
Karmic Drive is here to bring car culture and conventions together! With them you’ll be able to see a little bit of everything from JDM cars imported from Japan, to itasha cars and replicas straight from your favorite anime. Please be mindful and respectful not to touch the cars, but absolutely feel free to take pics with them!
Wanna bring your car to display with us? Check out our application, and maybe you’ll get in!
Each car that is approved will get a response from Karmic Drive before the convention. If you do not hear from them, assume you have been waitlisted or haven’t been approved. While we love to see all kinds of cars, we may not be able to fit everyone, so make sure apply for future shows.
Each car that is approved will need to come on day 0 and leave their car for the weekend. Each approved car will also be given up to 2 badges, just leave your name and your +1 name in the application under additional notes.
