Do you have a historic home in Pocomoke City? We would love to include you in our Holiday Home Tour.

Help inspire guests and preserve local history for generations to come by showing your beautiful historic home this December.

Homes should be based in Pocomoke City and decorated in Christmas finery for the tour. Exact date has not been determined but will be in November/December.

On behalf of her friends at the Costen House Museum I would like to express our deepest sympathy to Rita’s family and friends on the loss of this amazing beautiful woman. She was our past president for many years and took on many other rolls. I said to her many times if you could bottle up that energy that you have and sell it, you would be a rich woman. Speaking of rich, she was. She was rich in personality, kindness knowledge, giving, smart and most of all love. When she stepped down from the Presidency at the Costen House it was so disappointing to all of us. But her reasons were for her own good and we wanted that for her. She wanted to move back to South Dakota to be with her family. She toyed with that for quite a while but then finally made the decision. I had the pleasure of meeting some of her family members and it was understandable that they wanted and needed to be together. Rita was an amazing woman and she will surely be missed. You were certainly such an inspiration to me. Thank you for your friendship. RIP my friend, love you. 💔❤️🙏🏻
