May Love Note
We are gearing up for the amazing and much anticipated spring show on Saturday, May 20. Here are a few things that you need to know:
1. Dress Rehearsal Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Pocatello High School. Starts at 9:00 AM. Please be there at least 15 minutes early and find your dressing room, most of the dressing rooms will be downstairs, then come up to the auditorium and wait for rehearsal notes. After the notes we will do the finale, then go through the program as outlined. Costumes are required for dress rehearsal – “no underwear permitted under costumes”. Have the girls in the first costume that they wear for the show. There are programs posted on our doors, and downstairs in the studio if you don’t know which costume should be worn first. You can also contact your dancers teacher and she will know. The rehearsal will last for at least 2 hours, so bring non messy snacks and water to drink, but do not eat in costumes. If the costume gets soiled, we cannot get a replacement. When your dancer is finished, you can leave. If you want video the best time to do that is the rehearsal. It is very distracting to the dancers, and other spectators when video and photos are done at the show. The rehearsal is vitally important so please plan on attending, and don’t be late.
2. The Show will take place on Saturday evening at 6:30 PM. Have the girls in hair, makeup, and wearing the first costume for the show. Have the girls there at least 15 minutes early. Doors to the building open at 5:30, but the auditorium doors won’t be unlocked until 6:00 PM. Please do not bring snacks for your dancer to eat at the show. There have been problems with kids eating during their performance and it is very distracting. Only water is permitted. There will be a hostess for the younger classes who will help change the girls and sit with them during the show, so parents can enjoy the show.
3. Please make sure that your account is current and paid through May. If you are unsure, you can ask Mike and he will help you with any questions you might have.
4. Please make sure that your dancer is well rested between the rehearsal and the show. They dance better when they have napped and eaten a little something.
Attached is a complimentary show ticket for a parent. Please don’t lose it because it cannot be replaced. Admission to the show is $4.00 for those aged 7 and up. Those 6 and under are free. There are tickets for sale at the studio. It is recommended that you buy tickets in advance to save waiting in line. They will also be available during the dress rehearsal.
We sincerely thank each person that make our show a success. We could not do this without your help. If you have questions, you can contact Bethany at 208-220-6454 or Stacey at 208-220-6708
We Love our parents and cannot fully express how much we appreciate your support.
1-2 Love You!!!
