OPENING UPDATE: Rock Yer Block founder Veronica Datzuk has got a new view on Plymouth, Connecticut! Café R|Y|B is scheduled to open this summer and we’re letting the sun shine in! Yup… That’s 22 new windows for 694 Main St. HOLY COW!!! THATS A LOT OF LIGHT! 3x 6’ floor to celing thermals too!! NO MORE DRAFTS OR NOISE! The new windows will help us save energy and costs on air conditioning and heat and keep out noise for the recording and performance spaces in our “new” 200 year old building. LOL! If you don’t know the history of our space, the story of the Ives Toy Factory, or the Old Plymouth Grange… check out the links below. This place echos with the ghosts of Plymouth’s past. The new R|Y|B facility!
YES! THATS RIGHT! 3x the size of our Torrington studio… It’s more than 1700sf of creative energy! We have a digital production lab and traditional media studios. On site printing production capabilities for T shirts, buttons, pins, stickers and more. Plus something we could never have had in our last location… a Café and Performence space!

R|Y|B has always been a place of community and support. It’s been a place for artists and patrons to gather, perfom and work. Now we’re expanding that support and extending our outreach and providing the kind of help artists need. So we’re ready to share our new studios… We have evolved… Welcome to…

Located in Plymouth CT’s Historc District. The place is loaded with a classic New England Vibe. Formally the Plymouth Meeting Hall & Plymouth Grange No.72. It was originally built in 1870 as part of the Ives Toy factory complex on Maple St.. The Federal Revival style building was moved about a 1/2mi from the Ives Fatory location to 694 Main St. to provide a Town Meeting Hall in 1921. It was Quickly adopted as Plymouth Grange No.72. More about the history of the Ives family and the ghosts of Plymouth in some our future posts.

We’re still keeping some of the details quiet… but you are all invited to join us June 7th & 8th for our Grand Opening!
