This is a public service announcement. You may no be able to get Down Town in Plymouth till after 5:00 but, The Mic will be open tonight at the Brewster Bar 7ish till 11ish. Come early and sign up. Have a drink, Have some thing to eat. Play some music and have some good times with all the good people who make it such a good place to be. Love you guys.

Hey all you groovy people! It's Thursday and that means that The Mic will be open at the Brewster Bar in downtown Plymouth. A good time is assured for all. There'll be singing, dancing, playing music and the best cocktails anywhere. The ribs!! OMG the best ribs to be found. I'll be there with my good friends Bob Proulx, Dennis Inman and a small host of others playing music till we get it done. Please come and add your own special coolness to the coolest open mic around!!

Well it's Thursday! Yea! My favorite night of the week is coming up and my friends Bob Proulx, Dennis Inman and I will be at the Brewster Bar doing our "Every Thursday Open Mic"! It seems that every week is a bit different from every week so you never really know what's going to be going on. What you can count on is it's always a good time with great food, beautiful cocktails served by beautiful bartenders and great music and jams all night long. The only thing that would make it better would be if you were to come by and class things up for us. See you tonight! Love, peace and good times!

You may be interested to know that I'll be sitting in with Jim Dupuis's band Blue Crush this Saturday at New England Grass Roots Foundation's End of "The Summer Bash" at the John Alden sportsman's club this Saturday. The bash goes from 6 till 10. If you got a minute and $20 to free up stop by have some food drinks and check why you haven't seen much of me lately. I'll do a couple of my songs and will be helping out on a bunch of others. Look forward to seeing you! Peace.

The Following is a public service announcement. "The Every Thursday Brewster Bar Open Mic" will not be open this Thursday to allow the staff to enjoy the 4th of July Festivities. The Bar will be open in the afternoon when you'll be able to enjoy Bob and Anne doing some Cruisin! We'll be back on Thursday 7-11 with the complete Open Mic team of Bob, Dennis and Dave Parker back from his journey through England!! See you then and see you around. Love you guys. Peace.

I guess by this point nearly everyone that knows me knows I play a little guitar. Bob Proulx, Dennis Inman and I run an open mic on Thursday nights at the Brewster Bar in down town Plymouth. It's been great.
Now for all you live gear people out there. I'm primarily an acoustic guy. The open Mic includes a backing band, Bob, Dennis, and whatever bass player we can find in the crowd for those who are looking for it.
I sometimes miss having direct control over the EQ, reverb etc of my guitar. I'm plugging into the mixer that connects to Bobs Bose tower thing that sounds great. But there are times I'd like to be able to turn around and, say for example, cut the bass on my guitar, add some reverb, maybe a little chorus...
I was thinking of getting a Loudbox mini, putting right behind me and mic ing it through the board to the PA. Keep the volume down, mix it into the sound and still have easy access to the afore mentioned controls. What do you think?

This is a friendly reminder that the Mic will be Open at the Brewster Bar in Downtown Plymouth tonight. We got your Drummer, Dennis Inman and We got your guitar god Bob Proulx and we got a bass and amp and spare Fender amp and Me. We got Isaiah making delicious libations. Mike making munchies and a great room.
The only thing we need for it to be complete is for you to grab your guitar, spoken word, dance shoes, digeridoo, cajone, or whatever you hope to move us with and be there too. Peace. See you tonight.
