Saturday found us heading to Wellfleet to meet 7 Lehigh University friends on their annual girls summer weekend. This was extra special because it was a Bachelorette celebration too! They came from all over the country to keep their friendship alive and well. P.S. They all did an amazing job with their baskets, too!

The grandmother love and cuteness overload was palpable this week at Nimble Fingers Studio! From Easter baskets to this tote basket. The tote was made for a four year old granddaughter to carry her library books or stuffed animals around in. Grandmothers are the best!

OK...here is a seriously feel good post! This wonderful lady has been working hard on a beautiful Easter basket for her granddaughter. And, she managed to get it done by the time the baby was two days old!!! Sounds crazy early but we all know how time flies when it comes to kids! Marigold (her middle name) will be skipping down the bunny trail in no time flat!

I have a dear friend who lives in North Carolina. She used to make baskets for me back in the 1980's when my company Duxbury Bay Baskets were in several catalogs. She mentioned wanting to get back into basket making so I told her about Suzanne Moore's North Carolina Basketworks (ncbasketworks.com). She went for a road trip and found a great new source for supplies and even had her picture taken!!! Happy weaving Lisa Gilbert Bailey!!
