MCVA SHOWCASE-MAY 8TH, 2019
The 2019 Creative Works Showcase is sponsored by the Media, Communications, and Visual Arts Department. It takes place in Willcox Hall on the Pleasantville campus.
Students can submit films, documentaries, podcasts, animations, artwork, PR, Acting, and creative writing. Prizes include $25 gift cards from Amazon and Fandango, and free movie tickets. The Showcase has Jury prizes chosen by faculty and deans, and audience prizes chosen by students. In 2019, we are pleased to announce the Chronicle Prize, chosen by editors and writers of the Pace Chronicle, as well a new Acting category. AWARD CATEGORIES: 4 Art Awards – painting, drawing, ceramics, digital/graphics, and other art categories (contact your Art professor) Jury Award — Fiction Jury Award — Non-Fiction Jury Award — Animation Jury Award — Creative Writing and Journalism Student Choice — Fiction Student Choice — Non-Fiction Student Choice — Animation 2 Acting Awards - NEW FOR 2019 2 PR Awards — NEW FOR 2019 The Chronicle Award - NEW FOR 2019
The showcase is in May but it is never too early to submit your work! Submissions will remain open through mid-April. But get a jump on everyone and submit a piece you completed already.
