Christmas in July is cute, but we need a little more mischief than that if we’re going to survive the summer heat.

Welcome to SUMMERWEEN! (Family event)

Break out the spooky shirts, the costumes and cosplays, skeletons, Hawaiian shirts, or whatever screams SUMMERWEEN to you. Come beat the summer blues with A.C.T Theatre

Then we’re cranking up the music for a Summerween Dance Party & Sing-Along! Stick around, dance, belt out your favorite songs, and celebrate summer with your favorite spooky people.

We’ll also have corn in a cup, cold drinks, and other concessions available for purchase all evening.

Grab your friends, your spouse, your mom, your neighbor, or whoever likes a good time and join us for the 16th Annual Floral Charity Fund Floral Extravaganza!

We’re talking gorgeous floral displays, live music, raffles, door prizes, auction items, great food to nibble on, and a whole room full of people coming together to support some amazing causes right here in Atascosa County.

ACT Theatre is proud to be one of this year’s benefiting organizations, along with CASA of South Texas, Atascosa County Project Christmas, Atascosa Animal Allies, and Camino Real Community Services.

Tickets are just $25 each or $40 per couple, and every ticket helps make a difference while giving you a genuinely fun night out.

ACT Theatre is honored to be one of five local organizations benefiting from the 16th Annual Floral Charity Fund Floral Extravaganza!

If you’ve never attended before, you’re in for a treat! Enjoy breathtaking floral designs, live music, refreshments, raffles, door prizes, and a live auction, all while helping make a difference right here in Atascosa County.

Tickets are available through ACT Theatre for $25 per person or $40 per couple. Every ticket purchased helps support these incredible organizations and the services they provide throughout our community.

Dear Atascosa County,

Last year, thanks to your support and the incredible team at NU Air, we were able to repair our aging AC unit. While our ultimate goal had been a brand-new system, the repairs gave us something just as valuable: time.

At that point, we knew our ductwork would eventually need to be replaced. As a nonprofit, we simply couldn’t afford to tackle everything at once.

Unfortunately, we can’t wait any longer.

Tonight, as we showed up to prepare for our 41 students it was apparent the theatre wasn’t cooling as it should. Nu-Air came out and checked everything. As they opened the attic, they got a lovely breeze of cold air. Our ductwork is torn, deteriorated, and leaking cool air into the attic instead of our theatre.

The cost to replace it:
• Front of theatre: $986
• Back of theatre: $779

Total: $1,765

We have 41 students rehearsing twice a week from 5 PM to 9 PM, plus performances right around the corner. We need to keep our students, volunteers, and audiences safe and comfortable while also stopping the waste that’s driving up our electric bill.

If ACT Theatre has ever made you laugh, cry, cheer, learn, grow, or given someone you love a place to shine, please consider helping us replace this failing ductwork before our upcoming productions.

Donations are tax deductible through our 501(c)(3). Donors receive program recognition, social media and newsletter shout-outs, and a theatre shirt as our thank you.

You might stumble across a fashion competition called Project Ballgown, catch an episode of The Green and the Beautiful, test your luck on Who’s the Fairest One of All?, or find yourself laughing along with some very familiar fairy tale characters in situations the Brothers Grimm never could have imagined.
