Slate Blues Studio I love watercolor! Paint and water come together to surprise and delight me every time I paint. I have always had an active imagination. I was skeptical.

I hope you enjoy my work and please message me if you have any questions! I started drawing cartoon characters in fourth grade. Friends and classmates would gather around me and take a look at my drawings. By middle school, my mom (a third-grade teacher) was routinely asking me to draw and color pictures for her bulletin boards. Word spread, and soon other teachers were paying me to do the same fo

r them. College, work and raising a family kept me busy but not too busy to find outlets for my creativity. I made puppet theaters, put on plays with my kids, made copious seasonal wreaths, Christmas ornaments and even decorated cakes for a while. When my kids went off to college my mom pulled me into her watercolor class. But by the time I left with my first painting, I was smitten. Watercolor became my new love. That was fifteen years ago. Today, I have all the time in the world to pursue the beauty and mystery of nature with the help of watercolor.
