In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Firehouse Arts Center is pleased to present a solo exhibition of works by California-based artist Chris Granillo , whose vibrant practice explores the intersections of nature, folklore, and everyday urban life. Born of Mexican descent, Granillo draws deeply from folkloric traditions, creating artworks that bridge the past and present. His paintings and prints depict plants, rituals, and scenes of daily life to question assumed dualities and examine our connection to history and the natural world. Featuring approximately fourteen pieces, this exhibition highlights Granillo’s signature use of bold, brilliant color and graphic composition to illuminate cultural memory and contemporary experience.
Exhibition Dates: Sept. 5 - Oct. 31
Reception: Sept. 19 from 1-3 PM
