Hello Friends!
For so many years, art has been a deeply important part of my life.
It has given me a way to express myself, to create something meaningful with my hands and heart, and most importantly, it brought me to all of you. I am incredibly thankful for the friendships I’ve made, the people who have supported my work, and this beautiful community I’ve had the privilege of being part of. Some of you have been here with me for many years, and I will always be grateful for that.
But life changes us.
Over the last two years, my life has changed in ways I never could have imagined. After 31 years of marriage, I went through a divorce, and suddenly so much of the life I had known was different.
At the same time, my career has continued to grow. My days are longer and fuller, and I am genuinely happy and proud of the path I have chosen. But it has also meant accepting that there are only so many hours in a day, and that my creative energy is being called somewhere new.
So, as I prepare to say goodbye to this chapter of creating art dolls, I’m beginning another kind of creative journey.
I want to take what I have lived through, the heartbreak, the rebuilding, the uncertainty, the laughter, the dating, the friendships, and the rediscovery of who I am, and use it to create a community for other women navigating their own life-changing chapters.
Women who have experienced divorce. Heartbreak. Trauma. Loss. Or simply had life pull the foundation out from underneath them and found themselves wondering, Who am I now?
I want to hear their stories. I want to share mine. I want women to know there is life, friendship, laughter, adventure, and so much possibility on the other side of the things we once thought might break us.
On August 20, my best friend Wendy and I will launch our new podcast, The Thursday Night Club, on YouTube.
If you have enjoyed my art or supported me over the years, I would be incredibly grateful if you would follow me into this next chapter. And if you know a woman who is struggling through divorce, heartbreak, or a major life transition, please share it with her.
You helped give me a community when art was where my heart needed to be.
Now my heart is leading me somewhere new.
Thank you for every doll you loved, every kind word, every friendship, and every bit of encouragement you have given me over the years. I carry all of it with me into what comes next.
With so much love and gratitude,
Evon ❤️
