I’m Chris! I’ve been in the hobby for about 20 years and I love nothing more than seeing a painted army on the table.

I hope everyone enjoys my painted minis, in game photos, terrain shots, item unboxings, and whatever else I come up with.

Finally got around to getting an entry in Armies on Parade! After years of work it feels good to see Dorn on the field with the VIIth. Absolutely great field of entries at Warhammer Prairie Ridge! Armies on Oarade is taking a year off next year but I’m already thinking about getting my current project ready for a big showing in 2027.

Brushes are moving, paint is flowing. I figure it’s time to bring the page back to life. First up is Commander Cody for Star Wars Legion. So happy to have been able to work with Pale King Hobby and Atomic Mass Games on this one. It doesn’t get much more iconic for a Clone Trooper fan than Cody. This guy will be leading my Grand Army of the Republic in many battles to come. Thanks again to my brother and Atomic Mass!

The second Rhino all finished up for my Imperial Fists. A few changes to a couple methods here but overall really happy with this and it came together very quickly. I’m closing in on 2k points fully painted for the Sons of Dorn and I honestly can’t wait to see it all together.

Quick post of this Apothecary I recently finished for my Imperial Fists. I tried a new super matte varnish on this guy and wasn’t incredibly happy with the results, but always nice to be one step closer to finishing the VIIth Legion.

Finished up this awesome print from Skull Forge Studios. I was so happy with the way this came out, I’ve been wanting to get to some Imperials in the jungle for quite a while. Plants are from Epic Basing, I have been printing and building bases with their stuff this year and it all looks so great and is a ton of fun to work with.

Getting some great progress in on another Rhino for my Imperial Fists. Just about ready to start transfers and weathering on this one, can’t wait to wrap it up.

Some WIP on this awesome Skull Forge Studios Imperial Remnant Shoretrooper. I’ve been planning this army for about a year now, and finally I’m getting around to it. It will be filled with 3D prints from the Elegoo Mars 3 I bought last year. I’m using references of Vietnam War era camo and equipment, and I’m hoping to work some Apocalypse Now visual references in. I’m so excited to really dig into this and finally start getting some of these prints painted!

Some Tartaros Terminators ready to join the rest of my Imperial Fists. These guys were great to work on, I’m a huge fan of the plastic Tartaros kit. This is a project I have had the pieces for for so long and it really feels good to finally get it done and ready for the table.

Has anyone tried the new Special Operations mode for ? Pale King Hobby and I gave it a go the other night and had a great time, one of the better game nights in a while. I can’t wait to dig deeper into it and see what else AMG has in store.

First mini of 2023 done. Who doesn’t love a contemptor? I am slowly getting more and more of my Imperial Fists finished up, I am hoping to make this a huge year for mini painting and gaming and this guy is a great start. I had so much fun with posing the model, the new contemptor kit is so good. Basing is always one of my favorite parts and this one came together so good with bits by Epic Basing and Anvil Industry.

Mail call! Newest Black Library addition, I adore these Siege of Terra limited editions and I’m really looking forward to seeing where Garro’s story goes.

I’ve been working on these Tartaros Terminators for my Imperial Fists all weekend. The process has been very different from my MKIII marines, I did most of my highlighting with an airbrush and my shading will be done with oil washes. This is my first time doing an oil wash other than my Rhino, so I’m hoping it goes well!
