Insight - after being asked by a couple close friends, the reason I chose this name, I figured it would be great to share with everyone! Meaning behind the name - ā€œRedā€ has always been a nickname throw at me throughout life by friends, family & strangersā€¦ I honestly had a love hate relationship with that nickname growing up. Iā€™m okay with it now though, after all natural red head here šŸ˜‰. ā€œScarsā€ this word varies from person to person. We all have them, some physical, some mental/ emotional & even some spiritual. For me, they are a driving reason behind my art in the past as well as my growth & current mindfulness. ā€œScarsā€ pays homage to things Iā€™ve overcome & things Iā€™ll conquer in the future. As for the last two words ā€œRustic Creationsā€, they speak for themselves. I have a passion for all things old & unique - I love to up-cycle & repurpose items lost in time or simply looked passed. Breathing new life into things that many people see as useless or garbage is thrilling, gives me a great sense of satisfaction & a warm spot in my heart. Often youā€™ll find me picking up & collecting things that donā€™t appear useful or sensible. However, rest easy knowing Iā€™ve got a past, current or future project that I want the things for. Nonetheless my artist brand name story is over! Thanks for reading šŸ˜Š && keep an eye out sometime in the near future for some neat collection photos & stories including how it all began.

Welcome to my new page, a place to showcase some old & new projects - some of which are currently for sale$$. A quick tidbit about myself to follow my evolution as an artist. Iā€™ve dabbled in all forms of art my whole life; everything from drawing to writing, painting, photography, gardening/ landscape design, interior design, building & much more. Now has come the time where I share some creations with you. After spending a decade plus working with my family at our wood yard (as an arborist, mill operator, driver & log splitter) - Iā€™ve fallen in love & became attached to woodworking along with all things tree/ plant related. Here are a few current projects - many more to come.
