A message from Cold Spring Chapel: Enjoy a ride in the country on Saturday, July 18th and stop for lunch on your way home at Cold Spring Chapel's Community Kitchen. On deck for serving you will be a taste of Italy including: Ziti and Meatballs, fresh green salad, Italian Bread, and your choice of a jello-fruit cup or vanilla or chocolate pudding. We are still cooking and still serving but the meal will be take out only. The Souper Sisters are hoping to be back for in house dining soon. But, until then, the Chapel Community Kitchen is committed to bringing you a great meal and dessert. Cold Spring Chapel Community Kitchen is located at the crossroads of Great Bend Turnpike and Upper Woods Road, Lebanon Township, Wayne County, Pennsylvania Our free lunch opens at 11:30 and serves until 1:30. The luncheon is a free gift from all at Cold Spring Chapel. For more information, check us out on Facebook.
Some bittersweet news: This will be my last column. I will be moving to Raleigh, NC soon. I am incredibly lucky to have family nearby as I start my new adventure. I am excited but also sad at the thought of leaving home. It is where I grew up and lived my whole life with the exception of college. I will miss the house I grew up in, the area I grew up in, St. Joseph’s Church, Harford Fair, Animal Adventure Park, friends and especially family, like my Aunt Jean Matoushek and cousin Louie Matoushek and his family, Kaleigh, Corey and Emily. I do plan on coming back and visiting. And I will miss covering stories for Herrick, Clifford and Clinton Townships and other municipalities and other feature stories I have done the past 12 years. I will also miss this column. I may not have met you but I thank you for all the submissions you have given over the years and glad I got to “know” you through emails and calls. May God Bless each and every one of you and best wishes for the future. Happy Trails from me and my kitty Anna!
