Some years ago a fellow started a little haunt on the grounds of a much larger haunt, Screams Park in Waxahachie. He called it the Trail of Terror. He set it up to rotate themes, each theme having its own main monster. There was the mythical themed Maze of the Minotaur, the wintery Frozen with Fear featuring the yeti, the Classic Creature Feature that paid homage to the great monsters Dracula, Wolfman and Frankenstein, the bug haunt called The Infestation and Realm of the Beast with werewolves.
Four years ago this little haunt moved to new digs in the big city and was renamed Terra del Monstrum. It set up shop right next door to the newest and coolest "big" haunt in the country, Dark Hour Haunted House. The Classic Creature Feature theme was up in the rotation and so the cast and crew set about painting everything black or white or shades of gray. Frankenstein, Dracula and the Wolfman came out of retirement and the funky little labor of love conceived by the fellow years ago turned out to be the perfect foil for the flashy new, modern haunt next door.
Four years later the little haunt that could is still doing the black and white show next door BUT...only for 10 more nights. The owners, cast and crew of Terra del Monstrum are wrapping the show for good at the end of this season, making 2016 the last season.
We make this announcement now so that all those who have loved and supported the show through the years will have a last chance to come celebrate with us. So we extend this invitation to come spend some quality time with all your favorite classic movie monsters one last time because on October 29th Terra will pack up the theater, sweep up the popcorn and shut down the movie projector for the last time.
All good things...
