Our PMB Junior Company spent their weekend giving back 💛 On July 26, our dancers visited Plano Community Homes as part of our Adopt-a-Senior program, spending the afternoon playing games and simply being present with the residents.

No stage, no spotlight — just our dancers showing up with open hearts. Ballet teaches discipline, but days like this teach something just as important: how to connect with and care for others.

Grateful to every senior who welcomed us in, and to young dancers who understand that community matters as much as craft.

Thank you to Plano Community Homes for the invite to be a part of their Volunteer Recognition Celebration tonight! What a lovely program. Our Director, Miss Cindi, shared that she enjoyed hearing the history and story of how Plano Community Homes began!

PMB and Junior Company partner with Plano Community Homes in a number of ways each year including outreach performances and our Adopt-a-Senior program.

Last week, the IICF Southeast Division celebrated an incredible milestone - awarding $530,000 in IICF Community Grants to 31 nonprofit partners across the region!

Each nonprofit recognized is serving children and families, supporting veterans, strengthening education and responding to disasters through critical, hands-on work. Plano Metropolitan Ballet was honored to be included among the recipients - having been recognized for our community outreach projects.

So what do we do? Well, I’m glad you asked! PMB is committed to serving our community, not only through the power and beauty of dance, but also through targeted outreach to underserved members of our community. A few of our recent projects included providing two completely free performances of The Little Mermaid for other partner nonprofits, our PALS program that provides free dance classes to individuals with special needs, our Adopt-a-Senior program, and our food and coat drives. If you’d like to learn more about our outreach projects or if you’d like to get involved, please email [email protected].
