The Courtyard Theatre hosted Celebrate the Arts on August 15th. Sixteen member groups from the Collaborative Arts of Plano were featured. Plano Community Band was represented by Aaron Hughes. His Euphonium solo of America the Beautiful made us proud.
He and City Council member Chris Krupa Downs became fast friends while waiting backstage. In the audience was President of the Aaron Hughes Fan Club, Shanita Phillips.
Thank you for your music, Aaron.

Congratulations to Locke Shearer, Plano Senior High School class of 2026. He is our third recipient this year of the PCB’s Music4Life Scholarship. The M4L scholarship is awarded to a graduating band senior who is NOT majoring in music. (57% of PCB members have non music degrees so we know, music IS for life) Pictured here with his parents, Locke was trumpet section lead at PSHS and will major in Finance at Texas Tech.
