Pretty special day here at Rhoades Customs.

After 37 years, 2 months, and 1 day with the South Dakota Department of Transportation, Steve Rhoades is officially retiring, and October 8, 2026 has been proclaimed “Steve Rhoades Day.”

Steve is a big part of what Rhoades Customs is built on: hard work, craftsmanship, problem solving, and figuring out how to make things work when there isn’t an easy answer.

We’re incredibly proud of him and everything he has accomplished.

We recently laser engraved this custom metal piece for Larry & Ruth (Team Witty).

This one includes the American flag, Army and Marine Corps emblems, names, and a clean border layout to bring it all together. A simple piece, but one with a lot of meaning behind it.
