📚 Veterans' Voices Take Center Stage at the Fair Theater
Join the Unger Memorial Library for a powerful afternoon honoring service, sacrifice, and storytelling at the Fair Theater in Downtown Plainview on Saturday, May 10th. This event features authors Larry A. Williams and Katherine McLamore-Lowrance who will share highlights from their book, Texas South Plains War Stories: Interviews with Veterans from World War II to Afghanistan.
🎖️ Featuring the firsthand stories of over 100 veterans—including many from Hale County—this collection captures the lived experiences of those who served in WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm, Afghanistan, and beyond.
The authors will also speak about the Texas South Plains Honor Flight, a program that provides free trips for veterans to visit memorials in Washington, D.C., as a lasting tribute to their courage and service.
