duCret School of Art Our mission is to provide a diverse, accessible, and affordable visual arts education.

The duCret School of Art began as the Van Emburgh School of Art, founded in 1926 by artist and teacher Marjorie Van Emburgh. Its aim was to create an institution where students could obtain an art education comparable with that found in schools and academies in major cultural centers.
