“Playing Allie has taught me to embrace my own confidence and recognize my value, even during times when I feel like I’m “taking up space.” Through her, I’ve learned how vital it is to challenge the stereotypes placed on women—and in doing so, I found myself relating to her in a deeply personal way. As a young woman pursuing a career in engineering, I’ve experienced moments of feeling overlooked, but Allie helped me find the strength and self-assurance I need to move forward in that field.” - Megan Beintum, Allie McAndrews in Plainfield South High School's production of "Between The Lines" 📷:

“Playing Delilah has helped me grow—not just as a performer, but as a person. Like her, I’ve learned to embrace what makes me different, and I’ll carry that lesson with me long after the final curtain. She truly has given me a chance to explore another chapter of my performing skills, and I will carry this experience with me for the rest of my life.” - Mila Aloisio, Delilah McPhee in Plainfield South High School's production of "Between The Lines" 📷:

“Prince Oliver was portrayed as the "perfect" prince—but playing him, I discovered that he wasn’t perfect at all. And in that realization, I found what made him truly perfect. He tried his best, even when he didn’t have all the answers. He followed his heart and did what he believed was right, especially for the people he cared about. Through him, I learned that doing the right thing often means letting go of something difficult—and that passion and integrity are worth holding onto.” - Dominic Krejci, Oliver in Plainfield South High School's production of "Between The Lines" 📷:

“In the show, Grace is navigating a difficult transition when her vision of the future is uprooted yet again. First, she puts her dream of becoming a nurse on hold to raise her daughter, Delilah. Now, in the wake of her divorce, she’s left to carry the burdens alone. Overwhelmed by negativity, she loses sight of what matters most: her daughter. Like Grace, I’ve sometimes found myself so consumed by what’s going wrong that I unintentionally distance myself from the people I love. But in the end, her growth reminded me that I, too, can choose to shift my perspective and maybe it’s time I take a page from her story.” - Natalie Keene, Grace McPhee in Plainfield South High School's production of "Between The Lines" 📷:

“At first, I auditioned for “Between the Lines” because I enjoyed being around my friends, wanted to improve my acting and singing, and figured I might as well, given my theatre-kid tendencies. But playing Delilah’s best friend, both onstage and off, has given me a unique experience. I’ve grown closer to my friends, witnessed everyone’s progress, and developed a newfound passion for performing. It’s been amazing to have my moment in the spotlight, especially after spending years watching from the sidelines. I can’t help but wish I’d started sooner.” - Julianne Trompeta, Jules in Plainfield South High School's production of "Between The Lines" 📷:

“Rehearsing Ms. Winx was completely out of my comfort zone, as I am not really used to switching from two contrasting personalities. During the process, I really felt liberated with her character and coming out of my shell to perfect her flirtatious and eccentric persona during Mr. Darcy and Me was an exploration in itself. It benefited me in the way that I felt so much more comfortable with self expression and letting loose in the times where I feel so uptight.” - Naomi Montgomery, Ms. Winx in Plainfield South High School's production of "Between The Lines" 📷:

“Frump was not the usual character I’d be cast as, past roles being the little boy that was the comedy break. Frump on the other hand, dove deeper into character, revolving around the love he had for Princess Seraphima. It was refreshing to be able to portray a character that I could see my current self in. The similarities with Frump made participating in the show feel like an adventure. ‘Between
The Lines’ brought me closer to what I love to do, singing, being with friends, and expressing myself through a character.” -Devin Hoffman, Frump in Plainfield South High School's production of "Between The Lines" 📷:

“Rapskullio appeared to be a classic villain on the surface—but between the lines, he was a flamboyant, butterfly-loving artist. I wasn’t sure how I was going to interpret him. But, Rapskullio has become one of my favorite and most enjoyable roles I’ve ever played. His deep love for butterflies and his art is something I truly admire. In many ways, his passion mirrors my own—whether it's for music or other creative pursuits. He lives in a world without butterflies and decides to bring them in himself. There’s something beautiful and inspiring about that.”- Phillip Magee, Rapskullio in Plainfield South High School's production of "Between The Lines" 📷:
