Family Dance Jam is a new space at Earthdance for parents, kids, and adult friends to share the dance floor together. Open format, loosely held. You don't need to know Contact Improvisation. Come as you are.

Instigated by Natasha Brooks-Sperduti, who has spent years nurturing creative movement in children and adults alike.

Spring, Scores, and Play with Erica Skye
Sunday, May 10 · Earthdance, Plainfield MA

An exploration of connection and improvisational movement, drawing from Tango and play fighting to seed our Contact Improvisation. We'll play with scores that welcome the energy of spring — tuning into renewal and emergence as we move through dynamics of connection, deep active listening, and attunement. Explore the nature of finite and infinite games, secret scores, and how small shifts in a score can change the whole nature of the play / fight / dance.

Erica Skye lives, researches, and creates at Earthdance. Dedicated to holding space for transformation and emergence, she weaves the essence of tango into the ways we already move and think — and uses games to explore connection and attunement with oneself and partners. Erica has been teaching dance since 2007, offering Intuitive Tango, Tango Fusion, ConTango, Sound and Movement Improvisation, Salsa Rueda, and Attunement, Intimacy & Boundaries workshops.

Aaron Brandes is a somatic psychotherapist, movement educator, bodyworker, DJ, and author rooted in western Massachusetts, and a longtime part of the Earthdance community.⁠

His work lives at the intersection of psychotherapy, improvisational dance, and embodied relationship. He's also written about it: his book Resistance and Support traces what becomes possible when bodies meet in trust and play.⁠

The Enneagram is a map of nine personality types — an ancient system for self-discovery that nudges you toward greater compassion for yourself and others.

Through movement, sensory awareness, and guided meditation, we'll embody the essence of each type — touching the subconscious where transformation stirs.

Co-facilitated by Mandy Snyder & Hazel Turrone, who met through contact improvisation and share a love of self-discovery and mind/body/spirit integration.
