Researchers at Northwestern University found a powerful link between rhythm and literacy. Here is why that simple "tap-tap-tap" matters so much for your little ones:

Sounding Out Words: Reading is all about timing! The brain uses the same "internal clock" to track a musical beat as it does to break down speech into syllables and sounds.

Sharper Focus: Keeping a beat requires sustained attention. Practicing rhythm actually helps train the brain to stay focused on a task.

Better Listening: Kids with a strong sense of rhythm are often better at picking out important sounds (like a teacher’s voice) against background noise.
