This is how I begin my oil paintings - a careful drawing, followed by a monochromatic glaze of this washes of color. I will be adding local color to this painting tomorrow at Wild Hearts Gallery Placitas from 11 am to 1 pm. Stop by to see my show "Have A Seat", and see how this painting is coming along. There will be complimentary coffee from SOMA coffee House and a snack or two. Ciao!

Join me at Wild Hearts Gallery Placitas for a painting demonstration tomorrow on the First Sunday ArtsCrawl, March 2, noon to 2 pm. Be sure to stop by anytime from 10am to 2pm to enjoy complimentary coffee from our wonderful new neighbor SOMA Coffee House.

I will be doing an oil painting demonstration showing how I combine a variety of disparate elements to create an intriguing architectural scene of a garden. Peacocks may be included!

This will be the last day of my featured artist exhibition "Where the Heart Is", featuring paintings inspired by a sense of home. These paintings invite the viewer to recall emotions and narratives that are suggested by settings that may appear both familiar and fantastical.

Here's one of my paintings that will be featured in the juried exhibition sponsored by Rio Grande Art Association, titled "Bosque Sunrise". The show opens at the Hispanic Arts Bulding, NM Expo, on the evening of Friday, Nov 8, and continues through December 1.

I'm so thrilled to be a part of the "Vibrant" exhibition at ART Mozaik Fine Art Gallery in Santa Fe through the month of September. These 2 paintings will be on display. Opening reception is September 6, 6 to 8 pm. Hope you can check it out!

Well what do you know! My little painting titled "Shadow's Edge" won the Best of Tiny Treasures Award at the Plein Air Painters of New Mexico Los Alamos Paint Out. It's an honor to have those bragging rights! The exhibition is on display to the public at the Fuller Lodge Art Center through the month of August.
