Every once in a while a piece of wood “jumps” out at me. This is one of them. It is clear stabilized buckeye Burl. This is a picture of it installed in a 45 caliber Revolver click pen. Just wanted to share the beauty that God put in there.

This is the latest! This pen is actually made from Wolly Mammoth Tusk Ivory! I was commissioned to make this by a good friend of mine in Alaska who has a gift store called Alaskan Creations in Denali. He has supplied me with many unusual materials including this tusk plus mammoth tooth, diamond willow wood from north of the Arctic Circle, whale bone, musk ox horn, stellar sea cow bone, caribou antler, moose antler, and still to come, giraffe bone!
