Daniel Watts Colonoscopy Chronicles: Take 2 💩🏥*
So if you’ve been following my page, you know about my recent colonoscopy saga 😅
Did all the prep work the first time… just to find out the doctor wasn’t going to be there the day of my scheduled appointment 🤦♂️
Fast forward 28 days later — it’s try #2 to get this thing done! They called and verified every day leading up to it. I arrived at 7:00 AM and the nurses + entire staff were AMAZING 🌟 Phenomenal crew!
I told them about the doctor being on vacation last time. They said, “We’ve only heard of that happening twice.” Then they hit me with, “You’re such a good sport about it all” 😎
Got my vitals checked ✅ IV installed 💉 Waiting for the doctor to arrive at 8 AM…
We actually know one of the nurses there personally. Around 8:30 AM she walks to the foot of my bed shaking her head 😂 She says, “You’re not going to believe this…”
I said, “He’s not coming, is he? Daniel Watts, this one’s your fault!” 😆🤣😂😹
She says he’s running late — he’s down at Togus _Veterans Hospital_ 🇺🇸 and won’t be here till 1 PM. “Come back at 12:30 and you’ll be first to go.”
I just laughed it off. 💩 Happens 🤷♂️
They got me in, did my procedure, and said my colon was *PERFECT* 👌 Not one problem seen in the images. Blood pressure was perfect too ❤️
The doctor sat with me, explained everything, showed me the images. Good doctor + phenomenal staff — the ladies ran that place like champs 💪👩⚕️
Best part: I won’t need another one done for *10 YEARS*! 🎉
Real talk though — I passed out between the toilet and the bed last night 🌙 due to dehydration. Luckily Alicia was there 🙏 I came to when I heard *Alicia Marie Jacobs* yell my name 3 times!
I was 🍑 on the floor, knees bent to my chest like a catcher at a baseball game ⚾😂
*Moral of the story:* Stay hydrated, laugh through the 💩, and thank your nurses!
Hope y’all had a good day! Drop a 💩 if you’ve survived prep day 👇
💨 😂 ❤️
