We are hiring for our range crew.

The job is outdoor work keeping the range, the turf and the equipment in shape, at a range that just came back after a long rebuild. If you would rather be outside than behind a desk, it is worth a look.

The full listing is on our site. Apply at https://playcoolsprings.com/careers/ or call (412) 831-5080.

Meet the three coaches running our fall beginner clinics.

Stone Ellis is a Level 3 PGA Apprentice who has taught at Harbour Town Golf Links and The Glacier Club. He has juniors on Mondays and ladies on Sundays.

Noah Wertelet has juniors on Tuesdays and ladies on Thursdays. He is also the person to talk to about parties and events.

Samuel Mason picked up the game at 10 in a summer junior clinic himself, which is a big part of why he runs ours on Wednesdays.

Every clinic is one hour, built for little or no experience, and kept small so you actually get coached. Juniors (5 to 13) are $40 a session, ladies are $45.

Not everybody in your group plays golf. That is fine.

Our multi-sport simulator runs baseball, soccer, football, hockey and basketball, plus zombie dodgeball and carnival games. It is a private room with its own seating and TVs, so it works for a birthday, a team outing, or a weekend when the weather is not cooperating.

Call (412) 831-5080 or visit playcoolsprings.com to book the room.

Most sim leagues hand you a night and a tee time, and you plan your week around them.

Ours works the other way. Each week your team of 2 gets 9 holes and 90 minutes of simulator time, and you book it whenever it fits your schedule.

The Sim League runs Nov 1 to Dec 12, with Playoff Week Dec 13 to 19. $480 a team or $240 a player. Register before Nov 1 for the early bird: 50% off a sim round to use by Oct 31.

Never held a club? Good. That is exactly where our ladies clinics start.

We begin with the fundamentals, how to hold the club and how to stand over the ball, and build to a full swing from there. Small groups, with Stone on Sundays at 12 PM and Noah on Thursdays at 6 PM. You do not need experience and you do not need clubs. Loaner sets are available, though limited, so mention it when you book.

One hour, $45 a session. Bring a friend if you want company.

If you have a kid who swings every stick in the yard, this one is for you.

Our junior clinics run every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 6 PM, for ages 5 to 13 with little or no experience. Stone leads Mondays, Noah has Tuesdays and Samuel has Wednesdays. One hour, small groups, $40 a session.

No clubs at home? We have loaner sets. They are limited, so add a note when you book.

Three suites sit on the upper deck at Cool Springs, up above the rest of the range.

Each one is covered and heated, with lounge seating, a high-top, and Toptracer on the screen. Room for 6 to 8 players, so it works for a birthday, a team night, or a group that just wants a better Thursday.

Swipe through for a look, then call (412) 831-5080 to reserve one.

The Sim League is back, and this year your team sets the schedule.

Six weeks of play from Nov 1 to Dec 12, then Playoff Week Dec 13 to 19 for the top five teams (ties included). Teams of 2. Every week is 9 holes and 90 minutes of simulator time, booked whenever it works for your team. No set league night.

Formats rotate: Scramble in Weeks 1 and 4, Best Ball in Weeks 2 and 5, Combined Score in Weeks 3 and 6. Callaway scoring keeps it competitive for every team. The playoff round is a 2-hour booking with 6 holes of each format to crown the champion.

$480 a team or $240 a player, and every league player gets our 6-pack pricing on alcohol for the length of the league. Register before Nov 1 and you also get 50% off a sim round to use by Oct 31.

If you have never hit off a Toptracer bay, here is what actually happens.

A camera tracks the ball off your clubface and puts the flight on the screen in front of you, the same way you see it on a Tour broadcast. You get carry distance, total distance, shot shape, launch angle and ball speed on every single ball.

It is the difference between thinking you hit your 7-iron 155 and knowing you hit it 141. Toptracer is on 11 of our 60 bays, first come first served.

The range reopened a few weeks ago and here is the part people are still figuring out: the Toptracer bays are a night out, not just a practice session.

Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin, the Points Game, and full virtual rounds on real courses. Six to eight players fit in a bay, everyone gets scored, and it turns a bucket of balls into something with stakes.

Heated, covered and lit, so it works well past sunset as the evenings get shorter. First come first served, or call ahead to reserve for a group.
