Northern Ireland is one of the most dangerous places for women in Europe. When violence is normalised it doesn’t change, it evolves.

This is my social issues book I created for a graphic design class! I wanted to spread awareness on an issue I care about which is femicide in Northern Ireland.

Postive Space is La Roche University’s annual design show, judged by professionals within the design industry.

I am delighted to say that I managed to get eight pieces of art work into the show and won five awards.

Best in Show - Graphic Design Category.

1st Place in Illustration - (My Extinction Animation).

1st 2nd and 3rd Place in Graphic Design Category Typeography.
- (Dyslexic Piece) - (Bishop Ketteler) - (Crow Poster).

La Roche University is a close-knit community, which is something I have found strength in, moving on my own from Northern Ireland to Pittsburgh.

Through the support of the design team and my peers at La Roche University, I have watched my confidence, ability and reliance grow stronger not only in Graphic Design skills but also as a person in just one year. I had limited knowledge before, and now I will leave with so much more. I am truly thankful; I’ve made a home - away from home.

Positive Space has truly been an unforgettable experience for my close friends and me. It’s so exciting to celebrate our accomplishments and hard work that paid off. It was also great to talk to some incredible industry professionals!

I was in total shock at all to receive any reward; it’s a privilege and an amazing opportunity to see other creatives’ hard work and talent.

I’m excited to share that my animation, “Extinction,” will be screening 13th - 22nd of March in Amsterdam, for Kaboom’s 2026 Animation Festival!

Kaboom celebrates a range of cutting edge artistic animations # and narratives for families and kids!

It is a delight to be featured alongside many talented creatives and their work.
I didn’t think this would ever happen. Thank you Kaboom!

“Extinction” is a royoscoped, 800 frame traditional animation. My university project last year, was to create visuals that accompany Jackie Kay’s “Extinction” poem.

The narrative follows a women who notices environmental issues in the world. The narrative also reflects on how people tend to ignore these things and get on with lives.

Designed a movie with adobe illustrator using the monologue from the movie “The Crow!” 🐦‍⬛❤️🖤

Trying to design a poster without imagery and just using type is a challenge, but definitely one I enjoyed and learnt a lot from! I love this movie so much!

It’s been a hot minute since I last posted or even drew properly, but I wanted to illustrate from my favourite movie “Alien” (1979). 👽 🫶

I enjoyed blowing my image up large and adding textures on photoshop!

I often feel at times burnt out or silly enough even a lack of confidence when drawing. Which I’m sure many can relate to.

But I think it’s important to take breaks, and when I get back into to it and focus on progress rather than the outcome, I’m reminded why I love to draw.

After over 800 drawings my traditional animation is now complete! So I thought I would share some stills that I think turned out pretty well. 💗

The visuals are meant to represent environmental issues but also reflect on how people often ignore these things and get on with lives, which is damaging.
🔥🌍

This project was very intense but I enjoyed learning about animation more in depth, using different softwares, exploring different type of techniques and movie shots.
