Join us in congratulating Quantum Theatre founder and artistic director Karla Boos on being recognized by the Pittsburgh Business Times for her extraordinary impact on Pittsburgh’s arts community. ✨

For more than three decades, Karla has redefined what theatre can be — transforming unconventional spaces across the region into unforgettable, immersive experiences that place audiences inside the work itself. “Quantum puts audiences inside the work of art. I think their experience with us is more visceral and more likely to have impact.”

From historic landmarks to hidden corners of the city, her visionary leadership has helped shape not only Quantum Theatre, but Pittsburgh’s artistic landscape as a whole. As she prepares to pass the torch at the end of 2026, we celebrate the imagination, innovation, and fearless creativity that continue to inspire audiences and artists alike.

Congratulations, Karla — and thank you for 36 years of bold, boundary-pushing theatre. 💛

An unforgettable evening in support of Quantum Theatre ✨

We’re so grateful to Mark Flaherty and Mary McKinney Flaherty for hosting a beautiful dinner on April 23 to benefit Quantum. This incredible experience—auctioned at Love Potion—brought together art, community, and generosity in the most meaningful way.

Mark prepared a stunning meal, and guests were treated to a special reading from The Tempest by Karla Boos and Jeffrey Carpenter (Prospero in our upcoming production 👀).

Thank you, Mark and Mary, for opening your home and your hearts to support bold, immersive theatre in Pittsburgh. 💛

And thank you to everyone who joined us for such a memorable night—we can’t wait to share what’s next.

This season has been one for the books. From bold risks to sold out houses night after night, your enthusiasm and support have carried us through every moment. You showed up, leaned in, and made each production not just something we staged, but something we shared.

And it all comes back to you. Your curiosity, your openness, and your commitment to live theater are what make Quantum, Quantum. Thank you for being on this journey and for helping us close this milestone season on such a high note.
