King of the Burgh is a national hip hop and R&B competition similar to a battle of the bands. It originated in Pittsburgh, PA by founder DJ Afterthought. After gaining very quick momentum from MASSIVE support and turnouts for the first 8 competitions in Pitt it has since grown to markets all across the USA. The way it works is pretty simple. We work very hard to bring the highest quality competiti

on possible and really want the artists to take away from it with positive gains. We get a great venue in a city near you, take 20 of the best artists in that area, bring in world renown actual industry judges, and offer over $3k in cash and prizes to 1st thru 3rd place. There are a ton of comps out there who are monetarily driven that really dont have the artists best interest in mind. We are here to try to change that and provide as many opportunities as possible. After a long hiatus the legendary competition makes its way back to the city of Pittsburgh

10 Artists battle it out to be crowned King of the Burgh!!

There will be prize packs for first second and third place, a cash prize for first place, special guest judges, and lots more.
