Snake Hill House Concert venue in Pittsburgh's East End We love music. So we host shows. Local and touring acts. Loud bands, quiet singer/songwriters. It's all good.

PLEASE NOTE: apparently, some people have issues with their GPS taking them to Bethel Park. We are NOT in Bethel Park - we're inside city limits and between the riviers, on the edge of Polish Hill! Use the zip code 15213! In case anyone is curious regarding the name of our "venue", here's some background:

When we moved here several years ago, our good friend Jake often took on the task of mowing the lawn. The first time he did it, he ran over a snake with the mower, and saw snakes every time he cut after that (well, for the first several months, anyway.) So that's where the literal meaning came from. I find the name fitting, as well, thanks to the song "Snake Hill" by Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band's Taylor Hollingsworth. The song resonates with my never ending struggles to be a positive influence in the world, to let my words heal and not harm, to shake my selfish nature and share my undeserved blessings with others. We're not hosting shows at the moment, and this is a bit of a drive from the East End of PGH, but Jordan's been honing his craft and teaching young piano students for years now, and Little City is an excellent little shop in a cute small town dahn on the Mon. Consider making an afternoon/evening of it! You can hang out at Mingo Park or find other fun times nearby prior to the show.

YOU GUYS. Incredible news this week - not only are some of our favorite people / performers / pupper-lovers Thrown-Out Bones back in tahn, but they are playing with Feralcat (and The Wild!!!) on Fridee at SouthSide Works' Music on the Lawn.

I seriously don't know whether I can handle two bands of this magnitude in one day - it's gonna be seismic (and I have yet to hear Wade Anthony Jr, but I'm sure he's dope, too!)

Check out at least one of the Bones' gigs these next few evenings if you can; they're one of the most fun and engaging live shows you'll see.
