Matthew Thurber, LOOKING FOR THE CAT #6, 2025. One of the many great titles that Cullen Beckhorn of Neoglyphic Media is producing. I enjoyed talking to Cullen yesterday at PIE 2026 here in Pittsburgh. .burgh

Glenn Baskin, untitled mini comic, 2019. It was interesting meeting Glenn and talking to him about his art yesterday at PIE 2026 here in Pittsburgh. I got a lot more of his comics that I’ll share over time. .burgh

I had a great time yesterday hanging with some of my favorite people—Frank Santoro, Chris Kelly and Tammi—at PIE 2026 here in Pittsburgh yesterday. This was PIE’s second year and it was even better than their launch last year. It’s really a great festival for indy comics and the Heinz History Center is the perfect venue for it. Really enjoyed meeting everyone who stopped by the Dummy Table and to talking to Frank about the strange origins of Dummy (and his very important role in getting me to start making zines again) as part of the programming. Looking forward to next year! .burgh

Today at noon (March 15) I will give an extremely serious talk about the history of Dummy…well, it probably won’t be very serious. Frank Santoro and I will be talking about how Dummy got its start in Frank’s Swissvale house as a project I had to be nagged into doing. Join us at PIE 2026 at the Heinz History Center. I will also be selling copies of Dummy and some cheap comic books from my collection. That’s today! Hope to see some of you there. .burgh
