Hi Yinz. Utrecht has modified their stretcher bar profile, and I’m stuck with odd pairs of the old ones. Looking for specifically Utrecht Heavy Duty bars. DM me what size lengths you have, and I’ll see if I can use them!

Local only, please.

Much thanks,
LBK

Edges- all the work in my ongoing stuck in gray series have this border treatment. The unfinished wood is hand sanded and treated with a silky non-yellowing UV protectant finish. Yes, it’s time consuming but worth it. ; ) ⬅️ for more of this painting.

Installing my solo, “They’re just lines.” in central Illinois. The largest piece is a 5’x 22’ work on paper that extended to the adjacent wall. I’ve been revisiting some past solo shows for some writing I’m doing. Thought I’d share some of them here. ◼️This show was at the McLean County Art Center. More pics on this one next time…
( - I’m leaving this post nice and quiet)

Revisited my solo show “configuring the collection,” at Jan Brandt Gallery in Bloomington, IL, while messing around with my website. The last picture is of me and Harold Gregor, my grad school professor, discussing a painting. This interaction at the reception will always be meaningful to me as it was in effect my last critique with him. He shared his insight on what could be better, which to this date I follow. He also gave a resounding “thumbs up” so to speak, which is often the confidence I lean on; if you knew his standards, you knew what that meant. We lost him shortly after that at. The show was already eight years ago, but I remain grateful to Jan for that opportunity.

(Incidentally, the large painting was subsequently acquired by Harper College for their permanent collection.)

Have a look at natures,” my latest collection is Small Works, available now on my website. I envision these framed with a thin dull gold frame and a wide mat to give them lots of room to visually expand. (In fact, I’m planning to do just that myself for my favorite of those remaining.! ☺️)
