Fred Fu and the Family Family reminds us what love feels like, again. Fred Fu and The Family is an organization started to help empower the community through independent artist.

We aim to bring alive the artistic nature of our everyday lives to someones else reality. The main goal and focus is to provide a stage or comfort zone for individual artist to preform their talents and grow as artist. Fred Fu and The Family, the coordinator and representative for Canvas of Words Poetry Showcase Series. In our community there are individuals that are looking for ways to have their

voices heard. With the lack of resources, people are grieving in silence. The arts allow us to use our struggles, as fuel to have a voice. By creating opportunities for artist to have a voice I am empowering them to no longer remain silent. Through this healing process it is creating ways for others to begin their healing process. Each event hosted, plan, or organize allows the community to dialogue with others, who may not understand the struggles of the community. The sensitive topics we cover reach all generations and races. Seeing the growth of individuals after the events is a way I measure the change we make in the community.

Community 50/50 Quarterly Health Education and Art Fair is a recurring community-focused event that combines health education, artistic expression, and community engagement into a free, quarterly fair. The event is organized by Therapeutic Consultation Mentoring Services LLC in partnersship with Community 50/50 to bring people together for wellness learning and creative activities.

Key aspects of the event include:

đź©ş Health education: Information and resources about physical and mental health topics, sometimes with local health organizations or volunteers sharing advice and guidance.

🎨 Art fair component: Local artists and community members showcase artwork, celebrate creativity, and build connection through artistic activities integrated into the fair.

🧠 Community engagement: A space for families and neighbors to gather, learn, and connect through interactive booths, educational exhibits, and art displays.

These fairs are FREE to attend and aim to both educate about health issues and celebrate local culture and creativity. Team 50/50 goal is to serve inclusive community-building events that combine wellness resources, educational outreach, and artistic activity into one gathering.

Community 50/50 is seeking individuals with at least 3 years of experience in non profit and small business grant writing operations to join our team and support entities we collaborate with during the calendar year.

As we prepare for 2026 and beyond it’s vital we have committed, engaging and professional individuals to become a part of a 16 year foundation based out of Virginia.

December 7th at 3p is our first virtual meet up as we will provide an outline of tasks and roles needed to assist the organizations grant writing process for efficiency and sustainable outcomes for Community 50/50 and our 19 community partners for the next 3-5 years.
