Hot Metal Blues We are on hiatus until it is safe to social dance again. Blues dancing is a combination of dance moves and traditions dating back to the 1920's.

Hot Metal Blues organizes blues dances, blues dance lessons, house parties and special events in Greater Pittsburgh to promote blues idiom dances. Hot Metal Blues offers free weekly lessons in social blues dancing and a free weekly blues dance in Oakland on the 2nd floor of Peter's Pub. Today, blues dancing has become an international phenomena, with dances and workshop weekends all across the globe.

Who are we? We are Hot Metal Blues!

What is Blues dancing? Dancing to Blues music is informal, casual, and relaxed with no basic footwork. It focuses on the feeling and rhythm of Blues music. Blues dancing is a combination of dance moves and traditions dating back to the 1920's. Today, it has become an international phenomena, with dances and workshop weekends all across the globe!

When do we dance? On Tuesday nights! Free lesson at 8pm followed by free social dancing from 9 - 11pm!

Where do we dance? In Lawrenceville on the 2nd floor of Lot 17 (4617 Liberty Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15224)!
