Pittsburgh Film Office The Pittsburgh Film Office is a nonprofit economic development agency promoting southwestern Pennsylvania.

The Pittsburgh Film Office markets the greater southwestern Pennsylvania region as a great location for movie, television, and commercial productions. Since its inception in 1990, the PFO has assisted more than 135 feature films and television productions to southwestern Pennsylvania to generate an economic impact of more $1 billion for the region. To facilitate filming in the Pittsburgh area, the

PFO provides information on the region, locations, vendors, and crew; and coordinates government and business offices in support of a production. It also serves as a conduit for information, providing assistance to local filmmakers and the local film industry throughout the region.

Please join us in welcoming Jack McGill to the Pittsburgh Film Office for the summer internship program!

Jack is about to graduate from Temple University where he is majoring in Film & Media Studies with a minor in Creative Writing.

As an intern at the Pittsburgh Film Office, Jack wants to make more connections with industry professionals, learn more about the business and economic side of the film industry, and conduct research into film productions.

Jack’s favorite places to visit in the region are Highland Park, Frick Park and the Strip District. His favorite production is THE DARK KNIGHT RISES (2012)!

We are excited to welcome summer intern Chamarra Ford to the Pittsburgh Film Office!

Chamarra is a student at Pennsylvania State University. She is majoring in Business Management and Marketing. In the future, her goal is to work in a career that allows her to give back to the community.

As an intern with the Pittsburgh Film Office, Chamarra looks forward to learning about the film industry in the city of Pittsburgh from a business perspective.

Her favorite production is THE AVENGERS (2012).

Her favorite places to visit in the Pittsburgh region are City Books, an independent used bookstore. The building was formally her grandfather's barbershop, which he named after himself (Fred Tait's Barbershop).

We are looking forward to seeing what you will accomplish this summer!
