After receiving many requests from long time supporters and friends, we are partnering up with the good folks at CommonWealth Press to do one, final REX merchandise run that will support a great local non-profit organization, The 25 Carrick Ave Project / Tech25. Link to the pre-sale, which runs through June 21st, in the comments.

The 25 Carrick Ave Project / Tech25 mission statement: "Our mission is to provide youth and adults with career opportunities in the event production and broadcast industry through classes, workshops, and hands-on mentoring. With this, we aim to provide education, vocational, and certification programs that lead to living-wage careers in the entertainment technology field."

Thank you all for over a decade of patronage and support. We took pride in helping to grow and support a loving community of live music fans at The Rex Theater, and your support since closing our doors has been nothing short of remarkable. Thank you again for your support and love. We miss you and miss giving a home to live music in the city we love. The Rex Theater and the memories we made there together will live on for years to come.

This is the second artwork auction benefitting the Rex Theater COVID-19 Staff Relief Fund.

We're auctioning off all of the framed and unframed posters, photos, etc that we pulled out of our offices and green rooms at The Rex Theater when it closed. There are just over 100 pieces of music memorabilia in the auction, about 30 framed pieces and 70 unframed pieces, most of them signed by the artists. 100% of proceeds will go to the Rex Staff Relief Fund that will be distributed before the holidays to our folks who are still in need.

Local delivery, within 10 miles of 15203, is available for $5. Shipping costs for any item requiring shipping to be paid by the purchaser. Open bid auction begins on Friday, November 27th at noon EST. Bids are submitted via comment on the image of the item you are bidding on. Open bid auction ends on Friday, December 4th at noon EST. Payment accepted via PayPal or Venmo after confirmation of winning bid.

In addition to the art auction, we will be doing a 24 hour, 50% off, flash sale on all of the merchandise in the Rex / Grey Area Productions online merch store for Black Friday using the code HOLIDAY20. You can snag a classic Rex or Grey Area t-shirt for only $12.50, while supplies last. 100% of the proceeds from our merch store go to the Rex Staff Relief Fund. That sale is live HERE --> https://store.greyareaprod.com/

Use the code HOLIDAY20 at checkout!

Thank you all for your support of our people over this difficult year. Your support has helped to pay the bills and put food on the table of our two dozen displaced employees at The Rex. You all have truly been amazing during a time when so many have only worried about themselves. Cheers to you for that.

WARNING: There is NO PARKING on E. Carson Street from 10th Street up to 17th Street every Friday and Saturday from 10:00pm until 4:00am. They will ticket($100) your car and then tow($170) your car if you are parked on E. Carson Street during this time period.

We know, this sucks, but in their infinite wisdom, this was the decision of the City of Pittsburgh's Safety Council. Please direct all complaints to them. We just don't want to see you getting your car towed for no good reason.

If you aren't driving in from out of town, please do yourself and everyone else a favor, take Uber, Lyft, or zTrip to and from the show. Be smart and get home safe.
