Closing out our Breakthrough Sessions concert series THIS THURSDAY with The Impromptus!🎶

The Impromptus are a Kittanning, Pennsylvania-based acoustic trio featuring Brian Shaffer (vocals/cajon), Chris Choncek (vocals/acoustic guitar), and Jeffrey Towers (vocals/electric guitar). Blending acoustic instrumentation, tight three-part harmonies, and seasoned musicianship, the group creates a rich, energetic sound that is both intimate and engaging. Each member brings years of performance experience from bands throughout the region, with Shaffer and Towers also contributing extensive recording experience. Collectively, they have shared the stage with artists including The Clarks, The Marshall Tucker Band, The Monkees, and many others. Whether performing acoustic favorites or crowd-pleasing classics, The Impromptus deliver a polished show driven by experience, talent, and passion for live music.

It's official! This year's PTL Turkey Fund Kickoff Show will be LIVE at the Pittsburgh Playhouse once again on Friday, September 18th. We're going to reveal all of the details about this year's star-studded event when tickets go on sale this Tuesday, August 25th. NEW PERFORMER JUST ADDED!🤩 We’re excited to welcome Ava Presley to the lineup for An Evening with Pioneer Records tomorrow!

Ava Presley is a singer-songwriter from Butler and a junior at Point Park University. She has been writing music as long as she can remember and is thrilled that it now gets to be such a big part of her life. Ava primarily writes country/folk pop music, and her lyrics are her favorite thing about her music. She prides herself on writing stories and metaphors inspired by intimate parts of her life. As a 2025-2026 Pioneer Star, she has had amazing opportunities to perform at venues and during events such as The Club at Stage AE, the 2026 NFL Draft, and others. She is thrilled to have another chance to perform in Pittsburgh, especially at her college performance venue!
