The Great Drying continues. All the mix-and-match coasters on the shelves survived just fine, as did the trivets on the rack. When I say you can wash them... there's all the proof you need! I'll be back downtown tomorrow for Three Rivers, this time on terra firma along Fort Duquesne Boulevard.

The damage from yesterday may have been the product of miscommunication. I said everything's for sale, not for *sail*.

After the deluge cometh the drying. I think nearly everything is in good shape. I'm definitely going to have to mount the earrings onto new cards, though. I'm going to treat myself to breakfast out, and then get busy. The event coordinator will get back to me about where I can set up, tomorrow.

Okay, so I'm not going to be on the Rachel Carson Bridge, after all. Nature had other plans. I'm going to spend Friday identifying what's good and what's not, repairing what I can, picking up a new tent, and getting ready to rise like the Phoenix on Saturday. Meanwhile, I encourage you to think evaporative thoughts.

Three Rivers Arts Festival

Staining boards is not my favorite activity, even though it is at the foundation of much of what I do. It's tedious, time-consuming, and potentially messy. I've been refining my process over time, and today came up with a brainstorm that actually works! I took some old wire shelving I wasn't using, cut it down and turned it into an easel that lets me squeegee excess stain quickly and efficiently.

Still tedious, still time consuming, and still potentially messy; but less so, now, and in my book that counts as a win.

It's been a while since I created a new earring design. This one is based on an early Celtic Cross that is at least 1,000 years old. I like what the color does for it. Hopefully, so do you!
