Fragmented witnesses

My paintings explore identity shaped through trauma, survival, awakening, and transformation. Working intuitively, I allow figures and emotions to emerge organically through layers of texture, distortion, and symbolic imagery. Themes of hypervigilance, fragmentation, dysfunctional family roles, and emotional survival appear throughout the work, reflecting both personal experience and broader human psychology.
I use expressive forms, abstraction, and layered surfaces to create emotional tension between concealment and revelation. Each painting becomes a process of release and reconstruction, transforming pain, memory, and self-discovery into visual narratives. My intention is to create work that confronts difficult truths while also revealing resilience, humanity, and the possibility of healing.

Sacred Grounds at Gettysburg

A setting sun at the Gettysburg battlefield fills us with reverence, respect and reflection. A few lone tombstones remind us of the estimated 50,000 people who lost their lives in this 3 day battle on the farmlands of Pennsylvania. A dear price was paid for our country, freedoms and liberties. May we never forget and be ever grateful. Oil on canvas panel 9x12
