Submissions for the Robert A. Schanke Theatre Research Award are now open through February 19th, 2026! 📣

Given annually to an untenured faculty presenter at the Theatre History Symposium, the Schanke Award carries a cash award of $500 and consideration for publication in THEATRE HISTORY STUDIES, the journal of MATC.

Interested scholars should submit their complete, conference-length paper to the Theatre History Symposium Co-Chairs by February 19th, 2026 and note their desire to be considered for the Schanke Award. Questions should be sent to Co-Chairs, Mike Franz and Zach Dailey, at [email protected].
