Time for our occasional feature, “ART IN USE”! Generally we photograph ware crafted by our studio artists right after it comes out of the glaze kiln. But the beautiful pieces go on to live rich and productive lives!! So here are a few examples of these art pieces in their natural habitats and everyday life. Perfect bowl for fresh strawberries; soap dishes hosting handmade soap; cozy lamp; birdbath with plenty of fans; Bundt cake pan; and Freddy-approved kitty cat dish (food always tastes better in a handmade dish!). Keep up the good works, y’all!

Your dose of beautiful creations from our studio artists. Today we feature: Toroidal form teapot with kitty cat accents; cat cups to accompany teapot; glorious mermaid; beach themed tray; owl family; acorn bird house; and lovely square dish with decoration. Keep up the good works, y’all!

Also, the studio will be closed on Monday, May 25 in observance of Memorial Day, as we honor our military brothers and sisters who gave their lives in service to our country.

Creations from our Birch Bark Baskets workshop with Eric Serritella are fresh from the kilns and truly spectacular. We all learned so much about slip, stains, washes, and creating texture and movement in trompe l’oeil tradition. Amazing to see these pieces crafted completely in clay (no birch trees harmed in this effort;->) We also enjoyed a wonderful artists weekend together with good food and conversation + bonus insight on bonsai. Thanks for supporting the studio, y’all!
