First two sets from the Roses/Peonies-Leaves/Avocados block. Second set stretched more than first. Look back a few days to see the block-making video. Currently drying under plastic. I need to make some vases next - to see how the stoneware likes THAT stress!

Here's the block-building video. REVEAL AT THE END! It's supposed to be "Roses and Leaves", but I think maybe it's "Peonies and Avocados!" (Shout out to my pottery pals who made suggestions!) Because it's a small block, it took only 2 1/2 hours. I also felt like it went fast because I didn't have the usual variety of canes - that involves more decision-making and slows down the process. Original design drawing near the end.

It's happening again. I made some rose canes as an experiment (never made roses before) and a demo for a friend. Then I was talked into making leaves. Now they just need to be built into a small colored clay block with blue background! More to come!
