Community is the quiet architecture that holds us together, reminding us that we share a single table, a common space, and an unbroken responsibility to one another.

A profound debt of gratitude goes out to the Silver Plume General Store for embodying that rare spirit. During their annual fish fry yesterday, an extraordinary gathering of neighbors came together, raising a generous donation to support Wild Seeds Academy at Headwaters Studio. This is a testament to what happens when local businesses choose to weave a community together from near and far, investing directly back into the community and in the hands and minds of our future generations.

In the same breath, at Terrible Mountain Gallery we celebrated the artists who give our shared life its color and language. Thank you to everyone who joined us for the opening of our two new art exhibitions by Gunnison Valley artists Sarah Schmidt and Carol Connor. Thank you for lending your presence to the vision and stories of our people.

This is what happens when we work together: when we do things for one another, and how we hold onto the enduring beauty of a place we choose to live together.
