This weekend marks a transition in our operating season, and we invite you to step inside Terrible Mountain Gallery and Headwaters Studio for the 2nd annual Scenic Studio Tour.

Headwaters Studio will be alive with the buzz of creation as several of our gallery artists will be on-site all weekend, hands deep in their craft, working amidst the beauty of Autumn.

To celebrate the Scenic Studio Tour, we are pouring w**e, laying out charcuterie, and opening the doors wide.

Also, for the first time, C**t Maule will be hosting an end of season sale of a small selection of original pieces for acquisition.

Come wander through Pitkin and explore Terrible Mountain Gallery this weekend. We are open this Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

We are proud to feature Terra Forma Studios at Terrible Mountain Gallery.

Gunnison-based artist Jeff Erwin captures the transient, living textures of our local waterways through a deeply poetic process. By using plaster castings taken right after peak runoff, he preserves the intricate, unseen patterns left by the veins of our ecosystems—pressing clay into these molds to create vessels that carry the very architecture of the river.
—
Exclusively available at Terrible Mountain Gallery, our collection from Jeff includes hand-formed mugs, cups, plates, shot glasses, wall hangings, and vessels cast directly from the waters of Quartz and Gold Creeks.
—
These are more than functional objects; they are keepsakes forged from the lifeblood of the Quartz Creek Valley. They invite us to pause, to listen, and to carry a piece of this high-country sanctuary home.
